Today in Ahmedabad, newly appointed Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar has officially assumed the charge. Mukesh Kumar has immediate challenge to successfully pre-monsoon plan particularly problems of water loging, pathole, sewage, gutter overflow in Ahmedabad city during monsoon season. AMC Commissioner also has challenges of water supply, solid waste management and Rivefront Development as a part of urban development, efforts towards Smart City preparation as one year is about to be over. Cleanliness drive in general and Education to all are big projects to be handled by the commissioner. Mukesh Kumar replaced Ms D Thara during recent transfers of 32 IAS officers of Gujarat.
