December 16, 2016, in Ahmedabad, with the aim to increase women employment in society, “Janvikas & Aazaad Foundation” have trained 25 women to become a professional driver in Ahmedabad. Under this pilot project, organization have trained total 25 women and after getting professional training, 5 women have already started working as driver in Ahmedabad.
To celebrate the success of this pilot project and sharing future plans, foundation had organized a special event today at AMA Ahmedabad. Ms. Mallika Sarabhai was present at the event as a chief guest.
“We want to give women the same opportunities and the same chance that men have of leveraging various available platform to generate healthy income. This will help to motivate women as they will be able to contribute their share in family’s income” shared, Vijay Parmar (CEO, Janvikas & Aazaad Foundation).
While sharing about the concept, Reshma A. A (Head, JanVikas),shared, “DriverBen is a revolutionary initiative by which we want to create a same and better platform for women of our society”.
