Today in Ahmedabad, plea of interim bail was withdrawn from Gujarat High Court by Jayesh Patel rape accused of Parul University on nursing student. Bail application of Jayesh was withdrawn as HC justice PP Bhatt showed tendency of rejecting the bail.
Jayesh pleaded that since long his treatment is going on in Jaslok Hospital so he may be granted bail on medical ground. Jayesh’s plea was objected by public prosecutor saying that if accused wanted medical treatment then it can be very well taken from Ahmedabad or Vadodara.
Jayesh has stated of treatment from SSG Hospital to be incomplete and requested to take treatment from hospital of his choice, which was turned down. HC observed that accused insisting on treatment from hospital of his choice at this stage of matter is unacceptable, if treatment is so inevitable then it can be taken from UN Mehta Hospital of Ahmedabad.
On medical ground, Jayesh Patel had applied for bail for 60 days.
