Today in Ahmedabad, on demolition drive by AMC in Nikol area, where 4 persons were killed in the operation a few months back in the city. Hearing in Gujarat High Court was conducted on Nikol Demolition case, the court issued notice to 4 state officials including Chief Secretary, Home Ministry, DIG and AMC Commissioner on non submission of report by the authorities in the case. HC made remarks on what is the action taken in the case and till now what was done. Appealant had sought indenpendent enquiry in the case and actions taken by Home Ministry till now in the case. Next hearing will be conducted after 2 weeks.
