Today in Ahmedabad, 9th August being Kranti Din today, Women wing of Gujarat Congress conducted Public Raid on Gambling and Liqour Dens of Ahmedabad. Public Raid in Ahmedabad was lead by Sonalben Patel Women President, Gujarat Congress and supported by other partywomen.
Sonalben Patel and other party women gathered at RTO circle, staged demonstration against Gujarat government’s inability to curb gambling and liqour den in Ahmedabad. They demanded resignation from Gujarat Home Minister in this regard. They were carrying banners with “Khud Tame Chho Addakhoro.. Gruh Mantri Gaddi Chhodo”.
Sonalben while talking to media said that DG telling that such activities has been stopped itself is admittance of such activities in the city. She added that similar events of protest are going on in Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat.
Gujarat Police had made tight security arrangements to control the situation.
