Ahmedabad girl Zarna Joshi has bravely fought for release of child labourers in Gujarat. During summer vacation Zarna had been to Rajkot, there she saw some child laboures. On seeing them working in factory during their age of playing, she decided to help them out.
Zarna took up job in the same factory where child labourers were working, gathered all the information and took up the matter with Halvad Social Security, followed by Rajkot and Morbi but all turned into vain.Finally she approached Chief Minister’s office in Gandhinagar who instructed concerned office and arranged for release of 100 child labourers. Social Security official said that age of all child labourers will be checked, if they are found under 14 then factory owner will be booked under violation of Child Labour Act.
