Condition of Ahmedabad city worsens even with 2 inches of rain. Today 557 complaints of water logging Ahmedabad: The city has received a fresh spell of rain once again after a long gap. The city is witnessing rainy weather for last 24 hours. In Ahmedabad, it rained in east and west areas of the city since early morning.
Rain in Ahmedabad city raised trouble of common man. Complaints of water logging were received in most areas of the city. Due to heavy rains in areas including Gota, Vejalpur, Naroda, vehicle riders had to suffer due to water logging. One time, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was also forced to close down Mithakhali underpass and Parimal underpass. Apart from this, there was an urgent need for administration to open the 4 gates of Vasna Barrage. Finally in the afternoon rain stopped and water receded bringing back normalcy.
Heavy rain lashed in many areas in the city since early morning. Ahmedabad received an average of half an inch of rain from 6 am to 10 am. Many areas were flooded due to heavy rain.
Maximum two inches of rain in 4 hours in Naroda area in the morning. Kotarpur and Memco areas also received 1.5 inches of rain. Chandkheda received 1.5 inches of rain. Science City and Gota received one inch rain respectively.
