Ahmedabad is gearing up for Kankaria Carnival to be held at Kankaria lake with 7 day long fun filled programs of cultural events, folk songs, illumination along Kankaria lake and added attraction of Laser shows to attract thousands of visitors from Ahmedabad, Gujarat and India. Many english medium and convent schools have christmas vacations, so children and parents can freely enjoy the festival in relaxed mood. AMC, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has alloted fund of Rs 3.5 crores for 7 day long Kankaria Carnival. This time, it would be 8th Kankaria Carnival. To attract more visitors during Carnival this time entry fee and parking fee has been abolished.
