Ahmedabad Flower Show 2017 inaugurated by Gujarat CM
Today on Saturday AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation authorities, Flower Show in Ahmedabad would be arranged based the theme of Heritage this year. The Show is arranged on the Sabarmati Riverfront Ground behind Tagore Hall in Ahmedabad.
In the morning Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated Ahmedabad Flower Show 2017 inaugurated 6th edition of annual Flower Show organized by AMC with wonderful floral sculptures as well as nursery outlets, food stalls, handicraft stalls etc. spread over 1 lakh sqaure meter land at Sabarmati Riverfront.
CM Rupani was accompanied by Ahmedabad Mayor Gautam Shah, MLA Rakesh Shah and MP Kirit Solanki. Also, AMC officials were present at the function.
A novel theme has been introduced y AMC this year. In the Shows Character entities like Orchid, Dutch Rose, Cluster Beer and Miki Mouse will be prepared at the show.
60,000 Tulip flowers of antirium varities seen in Kashmir and Netherlands would be used to decorate the site. More than 200 flower pots would also be displayed in the flower show.
The Show would be open to public from December 30 to January 9 for 11 days.
Looking at overwhelming response, participants from abroad display their floral products in the show. It will be held in Event Garden and in Flower Park. The show will have a flower bed of imported flowers.
AMC will also commemorate and celebrate World Heritage Title conferred upon Ahmedabad. Miniature sculpture of historic monuments of Ahmedabad would be on display at the show.
Last year in 9 days, flower show had 18 to 20 lakh footfalls.
