In Ahmedabad, on 29th August, a press conference was held by De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) backed by the British Government’s GREAT Britain campaign for a summer-long series of events across the world.
The events are being held for students and staff, telling the story of the welcoming and vibrant learning experience at DMU, based in Leicester, one of the most diverse cities in Europe – demonstrating that the UK remains open to all students from every country in the world.
At the conference, Mr Geoff Wain, Deputy High Commissioner of UK, Mr Ben Browne , Chief Operating Officer, Mr James Gardner , Pro Vice-Chancellor for International, Mr Dominic Shellard Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive and Strategic Partnerships, Ms Sarah Setchell, Executive Director of People and Organisational Development briefed about the opportunies at DMU, future prospects, association of Leicester with Gujarat, the celebration at Leicester, sports events and Guajarti community. Mr Geoff Wain briefed on Visa procedure, interviews by applicants, success ratios and VFS facilitation, participation in Vibrant Gujarat and related business ventures.
Mr Dominic Shellard briefed on opportunities in UK in general after BREXIT, and learning at DMU related aspects.
