In Ahmedabad, one more person died after torture and threats from money landers. Incidents of death due to torture of money landers is increasing. Money landers money at very high interest and then try to threaten, expolit and torture in the name of interest on principal amount.
In Ambedkar Colony of Ambawadi area a person died after beating by money landers. The victim had borrowed Rs 40,000 for which he paid up Rs 2 lakhs, still he was torched for the principal amount. Family members of Ramesh Barot died after being beaten by money landers. Ramesh had borrowed Rs 40,000 at 10 % interest from Kalubhai Khania.
Ramesh could not not pay up principal amount. However, he paid Rs 2 lakhs towards interest to Kalubhai. Harmeshbhai and Ramesh are brothers, both were tortured by money landers.
Harmeshbhai mediated in the money borrowing from Kalubhai, yesterday evening he was beaten by money landers. After that Harmeshbhai had a chest pain, subsequently in the night he was admitted to hospital where he died.
Family of victim holds money landers responsible. Ellisbridge police is investigating the matter. More details are awaited only after FSL and post-mortem report.
