Today morning in Ahmedabad, incident of massive fire due to Gas cylinders explode in caterer’s shop in New Ranip has come up.
Near GST crossing in Dharti Heaven apartment gas cylinder blasted when cooking in Khodiyar Caterers shop located on ground floor of the apartment was going on. After first cylinder blast, other 9 cylinders blast one by one.
Panicked residents of apartment firstly tried to extinguish fire on their own by pouring water from terrace. Residents tried to call builder, who did not lifted the phone. All residents evacuated the apartment and ran down. Some residents hair and skin were burnt in massive flames of fire. Clothes and curtains in the apartment were burnt as fire reached upto fifth floor. Cater fled away the site after incident of big fire.
Residents say that they had told secretary of apartment, not to rent apartment to caterer due to safety reasons. Apartment was built about 2 years back.
Lastly called fire brigade. After 3 hours of efforts fire brigade could bring fire under control.
