Today in Ahmedabad, more than 10,000 women of Anganwadi from 26 districts of Gujarat took out a rally from Ellis bridge to statue of social worker Indulal Yagnik. Anganwadi Rally was conducted by Gujarat Anganwadi Workers Association. Their demands are concenring rise in the pay, permanent employment and social security benefits.
Present pay of Anganwadi is below government approved rates, as per women workers. They shouted slogans against government.
On Ellis bridge, there was traffic jam in the city.
