Today in Ahmedabad, a proposal in Standing Committee of AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was made on arrangements for Ganesh Immersion. AMC will make 15 to 20 artificial ponds at Sabarmati river bank for people to immerse Ganesh Idol made up of POP, Plaster of Paris, instead of directly immersing the idol in river water and causing harm to river water and fishes.
