Today in Ahmedabad, a draft budget for the fiscal year 2017-18 was presented by AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mukesh Kumar. Standing Committee Chairman Pravin Patel was also present.
AMC Commissioner present a draft budget of Rs 6101 crores with an estimate of Revenue Expenses worth Rs 2951 crores and Capital expense worth Rs 3150 crores for the year 2017-18.
Developmental works identified by AMC for 2017-18 include purchase of 225 AMTS buses, bridge, road, drainage, water, health, hospital, housing, solid waste management, energy saving and conservation, digital governance and building related works.
The budget emphasised on Swatch Bharat, Make In India and Digital Governance. No new taxes were introduced in the budget.
The AMC budget was presented in a press conference.
