Today Congress Minister and political advisor AICC President Ahmed Patel has expressed concern over decision of Labour Minstry on investing of EPF Employees Provident Fund money into the stock market.
Minister Patel said what is the reason of the Modi Government’s enmity with the middle class? Despite the overwhelming support of the Middle class, his government has tried all the ways and means to settle their savings. Firstly the government tried to impose restrictions on EPF withdrawals but it had to be rolled back due to Congress Pressure. Now government has gone against the wishes of the EPF trustees and made is complusory to investment Savings of workers in stock markets, which has resulted in negative earnings. A motion to the effect will be introduced in Parliament soon, as per sources.
