Today in Surat incident of Abandoned Aadhaar cards has come up in Limbayat area.
Actually, 2 bags full of Aadhaar card were found abandoned post office at Sanjay Nagar in Limbayat area. Localites reported the matter to Sanjay Nagar post office of finding Aadhaar card lying on street in Abandoned manner.
There were some thousands of Aadhaar cards found in bags, to be distributed to applicants.
It is not the first incident in Surat, when Aadhaar cards have been found abandoned. At other places also similar incidents and cases of neglection in handling Aadhaar cards have been reported.
On one side, government is insisting on Aadhaar card based transactions and linking it with Aadhaar card, it is putting question mark on government dealing with Aadhaar card.
