Ahmedabad, April 06, 2024: Aarihant Homeopathic Medical College and Research Institute, which is affiliated with Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, organised an industrial visit for its students to Chhatral, at the manufacturing unit of Symphony Fabrics on Friday. The company manufactures organic and eco-friendly fabrics.
Some 77 students of fourth year BHMS participated in the visit under the guidance of three faculty members. Dr Rakesh K Sharma, professor and head, Department of Community Medicine along with assistant professors at the institute, Dr Jaya Srivastava, and Dr Disha Shrotriya facilitated the visit for students. The visit was held as part of their community medicine curriculum.
The idea behind organising the visit was to give students an exposure to the working conditions in manufacturing industries and identifying practices and processes that can potentially or actually lead to occupational hazards to the workers.
