With Gujarat government’s recent appointing of total 11 Parliamentary secretaries, 8 in first round and 3 in second round, AAP Aam Aadmi Party has got a point to blame BJP Bharatiya Janta Party having double standards in appointment of parliamentary secretaries.
AAP says when in Delhi AAP appointed 21 MLAs as parliamentary secretaries to the Ministers of the Government of Delhi for smooth functioning of the government”. The notification clarified that the Parliamentary Secretaries will not get any remuneration or perks from the government, accruing no burden on Exchequer. They were not given any benefit and a pilot car or government bungalow . They were just appointed for smooth functioning of work. BJP criticized appointed of AAP’s parliamentary secretaries calling it unconstitutional. If appointment of 21 parliamentary secretaries in Delhi is unconstitutional then how 11 parliamentary secretaries in Gujarat can be constitutional questions AAP. They have made complain to Election Commission and now will move High Court on appointment of parliamentary secretaries.
