AAP, Congress Demands FM Jaitley’s Resignation over DDCA row

Political feuding spurted and over the CBI raid on Rajendra Kumar, principal secretary to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, became agitated on Wednesday. The unrest continued,  Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress demanded the resignation of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over alleged financial irregularities in Delhi’s cricket body the DDCA, where Arun Jaitley was former head of DDCA. Arun Jaitley, denied the accusations by saying, “If they can tell me the specific charge I will be able to respond. I can’t answer a vague allegation without any basis.” Arun Jaitley further added that,  “A state government and party which is in the dock for having supported corruption and having interfered in an investigation in this manner can’t really deflect the issue without any basis. Protest continued,  feuding going on since yesterday over CBI raids at the Delhi Secretariat where the state government sits. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has blamed that the CBI raided his office to search for files on the DDCA or Delhi and District Cricket Association, in the files there is Arun Jaitley’s name. In his Tweets, Arvind Kejrival Said,  CBI kept reading DDCA file in my office. They would have seized it. But after my media interaction, they left it. Not clear if they took a copy.”, In his second tweet he wrote, Why is Jaitleyji so scared of DDCA probe? What is his role in DDCA scam? “
Congress has also demanded the finance minister’s resignation and has sought that a Joint Parliamentary Committee or JPC be set up to probe the allegations and Kejriwal had said, Arun Jaitley was the president of the DDCA for 13 years till December, 2013 and said today that “a proper enquiry cannot be done till the time Jaitley continues in his position.” Where in Delhi, addressing a press conference, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken, said “The DDCA irregularity is a very serious matter, and thus, serious examination should be done and serious action should be taken. The DDCA issue should not be diluted, and should not be marred into political controversy as grave irregularities have been committed.”While Demanding Arun Jaitley’s resignation, Kejrival said: “As long as Mr. Jaitley is the Finance Minister, and is the minister in-charge of corporate law affairs, how can you expect a fair trial to take place under his finance ministership?”
