Today From early morning Voting begins for Gandhinagar city for GMC Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections 44 Councillors in 11 wards of GMC. In Gandhinagar city, voting to take place at 284 polling booth using EVMs Electronic Voting Machines. Staff of 15,000 deployed including officers and police for Gandhinagar elections.
There are 1,45,130 male and 1,36,757 female voters in GMC constituency.
Voting percentage till 1 pm in four election ward is as follows:
ward no 1 – 27.15 %
ward no 2 – 29 %
ward no 3 – 24.20 %
ward no 4 – 32.1 %
ward no 5- 21.61 %
ward no 6 – 20.10 %
ward no 7 – 42.10 %
ward no 8 – 28.32 %
ward no 9 – 26.1 %
ward no 10 – 22.8 %
ward no 11- 26.25 %
wrd no 12 – 27.18 %

AAP Aam Aadmi Party alleges of bogus voting in ward no 11 of Bhat. Chairs were thrown by BJP and AAP workers on each other. Police had to intervene in the matter. Legal team of AAP has taken objection.
