Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel ensures safety of students in Kyrgyzstan

More than 17,000 Indian students, including a big number from Gujarat, are reportedly stuck up in Kyrgyzstan. Attacks on foreign students are reportedly on increasing since May 13. Parents of around 100 students from Surat district and city made a representation for the safety of their children in Kyrgyzstan. Responding to it, Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel has instructed state chief secretary Raj Kumar today to take the necessary action in this regard.

State CM said that Gujarat government is in constant touch with Ministry of External Affairs of India and Kyrgyz Embassy to make necessary arrangements for safety and security of students from Gujarat. Arrangements by government are being made to bring students back safely. in wake of prevailing situation, Online Classes have started in Kyrgyzstan and since the academic session is coming to its end, airlines operations are on to bring them back to India, as per release from government sources.
