In Surat post rejection of nomination of Congress Lok Sabha 2024 candidate Nilesh Kumbhani, BJP Bharatiya Janta Party’s candidate Mukesh Dalal was declared elected uncontested on Surat Lok Sabha seat, after eight remaining nominees withdrew one by one.
Wheras four of them were Independents, three belonged to little-known parties and one was a candidate of the BSP. Surat City BSP president Satish Sonavne alleged the hand of the BJP in the withdrawal of its nominee, Pyarelal Bharti. Monday was the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
Surat Collector gave certificate of election to wining BJP candidate.
BJP Gujarat president CR Patil congratulated Mukesh Dalal and all the workers when Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Mukesh Dalal was declared uncontested winner on Surat seat. Even he addressed media on the occasion.
