Today Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya led a high-level meeting of the states and Union territories to monitor the situation and preparedness amid the recent rise in COVID cases with at least three deaths reported in the last 24 hours in Kerela.
India has reported 614 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours from across the country, while the total number of active cases in India stands at 2,311, according to the data released by the ministry. In the meeting, Mandaviya emphasised the need for collective effort between the Centre and the states to deal with the emerging situation in the spirit of the “Whole of Government” approach and directed local authorities to remain alert but not to panic.
As per the data released by the health ministry of Kerala, the state has reported 3 deaths and 292 fresh cases over the last 24 hours. The number of active cases in India stands at 2,311.
