Ahmedabad, December 19, 2023 — On December 24, 2023, the vibrant city of Ahmedabad will witness the grand spectacle of “NINAD – THE RUN,” a community-driven event organized by Lalji Mehrotra Lions (LML) School in collaboration with the Lions Club of Karnavati. (LCK). This unique event seamlessly integrates a spirited run with a carnival atmosphere, emphasizing awareness about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
About NINAD – THE RUN
The objective of the event NINAD- The Run coincides with Lionism. It is synonymous with service and community impact that aligns seamlessly with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The Lions Club’s dedication to service, health, education, and community development directly supports several SDGs, reinforcing the collective commitment to a brighter and more sustainable future.
NINAD – THE RUN 2023, is an annual community-driven event that combines the spirit of running with a carnival atmosphere, focusing on raising awareness about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The event is set to kick off at 7:00 am, with participants gathering for a lively Zumba and warm-up session at 7:15 am. The run or walk categories include a 5Km, 2.5 Km, and 1.5 Km. After the invigorating run, participants will converge at Lalji Mehrotra Lions School between 8:30 to 9:00 am for an immersive experience.
Mrs. Ranjana Mandan, the Principal of LML School, expressed her excitement about the event, stating, “NINAD – The Run isn’t merely a run; it’s a collective stride toward a brighter future. This community-driven event serves as a platform to raise awareness about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By coming together, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the world around us. I am happy to have the support of the LCK, many sponsors, and my teacher and student community who have worked for months on the preparations for NINAD-The RUN 2023.”
The President of LCK, Mr. Hardik Soni, highlighted the unique design of the event, stating, “The whole program of NINAD- The RUN 2023 has been uniquely designed as a RUN cum Carnival with a unique theme on raising awareness about SDG’s. The event will have food stalls, SDG exhibitions, lots of games and activities, and then a wonderful certification cum award & lucky draw ceremony. I invite our Lion Members to register in large numbers and be a part of this campaign.”
The post-run festivities include an SDGs exhibition and captivating performances reflecting the spirit of the Sustainable Development Goals at 8:30 am. Participants can indulge in a nutritious feast featuring a diverse culinary experience and explore the SDGs awareness exhibition, immersing themselves in the essence of community and global impact.
The carnival-like atmosphere continues with delightful games, including Pick and Flip, Glass Castle, Emoji Da Adda, and more, fostering community bonding and laughter.
NINAD- The Run will relish a diverse culinary experience with Fusion Kurmura, Green Chunks, Butter Kernels, Poshtik Poha, Garam Garam Khichu, Taste of South, Methi Dhebra, Sprout Chaat, and Daliya. Quench your thirst with Tea, Coffee, Lemonade, Vegetable Soup, and Fada Lapsi
The grand surprises, including Certificate Distribution and Lucky Draws, will begin at 10:30 am, promising an exciting conclusion to this impactful event.
