Today in Gandhinagar, during Question Hour of Budget Session of Gujarat Legislative Assembly House details on expenditure made by State Tourism were provided. It revealed that number of visitors to Gujarat decreased during last 2 years.
In year 2021, a total of 76 and in year 2022, a total of 389 foreign tourists visited Gujarat. In year 20-21 Rs 20.56 crores were spent and in the year 2022 Rs 36.48 crores were spent on Navratri, Rannotsav, Tourism Feslitation, Saputara and Monsoon festival. Gujarat Tourism spent Rs 57 crores on the festival, spent a total of Rs 57 crores in two years, out of which spent Rs 55 crore on Decorations, spent a total of Rs 71 lakh on Vehicles, and spent Rs 81.72 lakh on Advertising.
