Ahmedabad: A woman living in Amraiwadi area has committed suicide by jumping into river with her 5-months-old son. 1.5 years long love marriage has come to a tragic end. Riverfront Police has registered a case against victim’s husband and started an investigation. One 26-years-old woman came to Sabarmati Riverfront with her 5-months-old son Dhruv and committed suicide by jumping into the river with her son.
Fire brigade team pulled out body of a woman and her child and handed it to her family. Victim’s family has alleged that their daughter committed suicide out of frustration with her alcoholic husband Rajesh Maru and her in-laws. The family is devastated with suicide of one of the daughters. Accused is demanding punishment for her husband. 1.5 years ago, she befriended Rajesh Maru, who lived in her neighborhood. The love affair between the two. The couple got married in court a year and a half ago. Rajesh was not doing any work and Manisha’s family has accused him of drinking alcohol. Earlier also accused Rajesh had married with two young women. And had a third marriage with this young lady.
The couple has been fighting with each other for some time. Fifteen days ago, the woman had lodged a complaint against her husband for assault. Not being able to bear physical and mental torture by her husband, Manisha decided to end herself with her child. Riverfront police have registered a case against husband and mother-in-law and started investigation. Riverfront West police has registered a murder charge against a woman who committed suicide with a 5-months-old son. Started procedure to arrest husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law for forcing victim for suicide.
