Today in Ahmedabad city, MJ Library ( SHETH MANEKLAL JETHABHAI PUSTAKALAY)’s Draft Budget for financial year 2022-23 of Rs. 15,33,25,000 was presented by Librarian. In the proposed budget, Rs. 50 lakhs have been allotted for reading material in allied library. Rs 60 lakhs alloted for creative and cultural activities under various budget heads.
A provision of Rs. 3 lakhs have been made for the recording of popular literature in the Pragnyachakshu Audio Department as well as for prosperity of the department. Allocatiion of Rs. 3 lakhs have been made in the budget to update Digitization and Reference Department of books available in the library. Rs. 30 lakhs has been provisioned for safety and security of valuables of readers coming to the Library.
