Before Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi’s likely cabinet expansion, a major shuffle of Governors saw Union Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot appear in the top post. Eight states get new Governors.
Today evening there will be a meeting at PM residence ahead of Cabinet reshuffle in which Amit Shah and other members will remain present.
Thawarchand Gehlot, who was also the BJP’s Rajya Sabha leader, will take over as Governor of Karnataka.
PS Sreedharan Pillai, the Governor of Mizoram, has been moved to Goa.
Satyadev Narayan Arya, Haryana Governor, will shift to Tripura. Tripura Governor Ramesh Bais has been transferred to Jharkhand.
Bandaru Dattatraya, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, will take over as Governor of Haryana.
Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel will be Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
