Five people arrested for black marketing of Remdesivir injections

Staff nurse working in Rajkot, informed the police about black marketing of Remdesivir injections and based on the information, Rajkot police set a trap and exposed the entire black market.
In Coronavirus pandemic, there were many complaints that Remdesivir injection, which protects against the Coronavirus, is currently being black marketed. Rajkot crime branch has set a trap and arrested people involved in blackmailing of the injections.
The trap was set by the police on the basis of information received from Devyaniben who was arranging Remdesivir and in return getting handsome price over original cost of the injection. Devyaniben was to supply two injections of Remdesivir injection near Gondal Road at Shantikunj Hospital on the night of 26th September. Police had already formed a separate team in the area and set a trap to catch the accused.
Meanwhile Devyaniben Chawda who is a Nurse at Shanti Covid Hospital her fiance Vishal Gohil came to give delivery of the injections. Police arrested the two and inquired about the injection but did not find any bill or supporting evidence from accused and police conducted further inquiries.
Police interrogating Devyani and Vishal had shocking revelations in response to where from two injections were obtained. Both Vishal and Devyani confessed buying injections for Rs 15,000 from Ankit Rathor, who works in Relief medical store at Jalaraam Hospital. On the basis of which, when the police questioned Ankit Rathor, he said that injection for Rs 14,000 was purchased from Jagdishbhai Seth, working in Jalaram Hospital Medical store.
