Number of Coronavirus positive cases are on rise in India and Gujarat.
Today Gujarat DGP Director General of Police Shivanand Jha held a press conference in Gandhinagar.
DGP briefed about law and order situation in the state during lockdown. Support from people is necessary in smoothly performing duty to curb outbreak of Coronavirus by front line staff of police said Jha.
23 Ambulance were found to be misused in transporting people during lockdown. 239 people were arrested from Ahmedabad, Rajkot & Surat and 213 crime were registered against them by Gujarat police updated DGP.
Enough care is being taken to protect health of Corona Warriors added Jha.
A Fine of Rs 500 was collected from two and three wheeler and Rs 1000 from four wheeler by detaining the vehicles. 134 persons were arrested after filing case against 69 people based on CCTV footage installed in society premises.
Rumormongers were trying to demoralize police staff on duty by spreading fake news using social media platform that targets have been assigned by police department to register case against people during lockdown, which was turned down by DGP. Such rumors bring down moral of people those of performing their duty day and night by risking themselves.
Some relaxation has been given on buying essential goods during lockdown situation but 23 Ambulance were found to be misused in transporting people during lockdown. Now such vehicles are kept under strict vigil by police. Strict action against violators will be taken.
239 people were arrested from Ahmedabad, Rajkot & Surat and 213 crime were registered against them. Drone and CCTV footage were used by police to identify violators who were roaming around and register their offence.
Protective measures were adopted by using Herbal Kaadha, Drumstick powder, Vitamin C tablet, lemon juice and butter milk for upkeep of health of staff on duty. Sannitizers were operationally used and disinfection work was carried out at police premises.
Yesterday, 8691 vehicles were released and total 59,000 vehicles were released
Gujarat police is taking advent of technology like ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognisation Software is used to identify frequently moving on roads. 190 vehicles have been identified and booked by police.
Prahari CCTV camera has 360 degree panoramic coverage which provides vital input on surveillance. 152 cases have been registered using Prahari CCTV camera input. 226 cases booked by shooting done through videographers available in police van used in patrolling.
In connection with Jamati DGP said One person of Bhusawal Maharashtra came to Gandhinagar by breaking lockdown was booked. He was quarantined and sent for medical check up. 9 people have been booked for such cases.
For provocative message on social media platform, 17 cases have been registered. Total 685 arrest made in 357 cases. Using drone footage, 274 cases and 94 cases using CCTV footage were made. 1206 cases filed to strictly implement lockdown in Gujarat.
Since yesterday, 2259 people booked for lockdown violation , 1032 for home quarantine violation and 492 booked for other offense, total 3783 people have been booked under various offense. 4953 arrests made and 2576 vehicles were detained.
