New Delhi, hearing in much awaited execution in Nirbhaya gang rape case will take place in Supreme Court of India on 5th March. There is a question whether execution of 4 gang rape convicts could take place on 3rd March. It is noteworthy that all legal options available to 3 rape convicts are exercised and 4th convict Pawan is not interested in using his legal option available to him. Supreme Court had granted one week time to rape convicts to exercise their legal options.
Today a bench of 3 justice R Bhanumati, Ashok Bhusan and AS Bopna conducted hearing the case. Last week hearing could not be held as justice Bhanumati was on leave. Notice to rape convicts has been issued.
Government has pleaded in its argument that all 4 rape convicts are delibrately using their legal options and playing with judiciary system. Now all legal options to all rape convicts are over hence they could be executed added government. Dehli High Court upheld their death penalty.
