Today under Widow Pension Yojana 2019, seven thousand widow of Olpad constituency were given pension cheque by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Gujarat minister Ganpat Vasava , Minister Ishwarsinh Patel, Minister Kishor Kanani, Surat Mayor Dr Jagdish Patel, Surat Collector Dr Dhaval Patel and other MLAs were present.
The event was registered in Asia Book of Record and Golden Book of record.
Speaking on the occasion Rupani said this government has taken a step forward towards upliftment of common man especially Divyang, window and poor. Two decades back per capita income was Rs 16,000 which has now gone to Rs 1,75,000 added Gujarat CM. It was a gesture of socio economic program by government.
Sixty lakh people have earned benefit of Seva Setu program. In Olpad taluka developmental works worth Rs 2,300 crores have taken place.
