Today in Ahmedabad, RTO conducts checking drive against overloaded vans after 3 kids falling incident of Panchamrut school van in Nikol area.
3 students fell of the van when driver kept vehicle fast while taking turn and door got opened. Van driver has been arrested by police.
School van service was suspended by the management after the incident. School management has assured to comply with RTO norms for all school vans.
Traffic police in Krishnagar of Naroda detained 20 overloaded school vans and auto rickshaws used in transporting students.
RTO team insisted on first aid kit, fire safety arrangement and carrying on adequate number of students in the school van without overloading them.
