In Ahmedabad, on Prahladnagar road, Dev Aurum complex members claim to have appealed before AMC commissioner for cancellation on BUBuilding Use permission. Yesterday after incident of fire on 9th floor in the complex, some occupants faced breathing problems.
Today Authorities have sealed A. B and C block of the complex over lack of fire safety. Fire and estate department of AMC will make further enquiry in the matter.
After BU permission, certain major changes in stair landing and floor landing were made. Action against responsible people will be taken by authorities.
Occupants of the complex, complained that Fire Safety equipments in the complex were not working and there is no adequate ventilation facility. How the buildin was operational without NOC from fire department is a big question.
Written complain in that connection has been given to AMC.
After yesterday’s incident, Ahmedabad fire department conducts drive to check fire safety measures at several commercial complexes in the city.
