VIDEO OF DILIP KUMAR’s BOOK LAUNCH IN MUMBAI
Entire Bollywood had come to shine the occasion of great actor Dilip Kumar whose biography was launched in Mumbai in a grand event. Biography was launched by Big B, Dharmendra and Aamir Khan.
On this oocaasion, stars of all generations had come including Bollywood actors,directors,producers, writers, lyricists, musicians and media persons.
Aamir read out the peom written by Prasoon Joshi. Director producer Karan Johar anchored for the event. Mega star Amitabh Bachchan gave hi speech. other actors also share their experiences about Dilip Kumar.
Dilp Kumar, Yusaf Saab, gave hits like ‘Madhumati, ‘Devdas’, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’, ‘Ram Aur Shyam, ‘Karma’ and others.
He was crowned as the ‘Tragedy King’ for playing a doomed lover in films like ‘Andaz’, ‘Baabul’, ‘Mela’, ‘Deedar’ and ‘Jogan’ and others. Dilip Kumar was last seen in film ‘Qila’ in 1998.
He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 1991 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994.
Famous songs of Dilip Kumar’s movies like Nain Lad Gayi Hai To Manva Ma Kasak..,Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge were played during the event in his honour.
Wife Saria Banu organised the event of book launch. Speaking on the occasion Saira said “This evening is special and we hope everyone likes his biography. I am feeling great today. It is a dream come true to me. Everyone will know about his childhood, growing up years and you will hear it from him. For the first time he has spoken about it.”
The book, titled ‘Substance and Shadow’, is authored by Uday Tara Nayar.
