11 Air Strips in India for Emergency Landing coming soon says Mansukh Mandaviya

In Gujarat Air strip for Emergency Landing will be developed , In Dwarka near Khambhaliya to Limbdi highway it will be developed at an expense of Rs 83.66 crores.

Under Bharatmata project, at Dwarka between Air Strip between Daatarna and Javanpur will be developed on NH 151-A.

The strip will be 4.7 km long and free from tree, high tension tower, sign boards, sign walls etc. Strip will be 60 meter wide with 33 meter soldi pavement on two sides. It will have two barriers and aircraft will make emergency landing after the barriers are closed. The strip will have a space to park 4 aircraft. Barriers will be used to prevent traffic from entering the passage.

Its construction will start from 2019 next year.

11 such Air strips for Emergency Landing on the national highway will be developed updated Mansukh Mandaviya Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways.

The announcement would a step forward towards emergency needs during natural calamity, natural disaster and increased air connectivity in the country during situation of crisis.
