Today Dr Laxmi Bhavani Gujarat Head UNICEF visited Gujarat and briefed about the future joint mission.
Bhavani of UNICEF informed that UNICEF, Gujarat government and agencies to work jointly for Protection of Child related issues
Further Bhavani added that social environment and we should change mindset in civil society. Many problems occur due to poverty. In our state that government’s social protection schemes, how to make people aware of the scheme, how to bring them under the cover of social protection scheme.
People should be aware of all the schemes beneficial to them and thereby gets lot of demand in people for such schemes.
UNICEF does not conduct any training program directly. We should voluntarily work towards it.
Data on Child Protection issues not available by trends could be found out. Using trends attempts to be made to put control on them.
In case of violence in child, efforts to be made of re-unification, re-union which government is already doing, how to intensify that is being focused.
UNICEF Gujarat Head admitted of issue of malnutrition in Gujarat to some level, which is being tried to resolve.
