100 students selected by 40 companies in ‘Ahmedabad Job

Ahmedabad, 25th April 2018: Amiraj College of Engineering & Technology and freshersjobfair.in organised ‘Ahmedabad Job Mela 2018’ today. The ‘Ahmedabad Job Mela’ was a mega Job Fair for fresher’s and graduates, wherein more than 100 candidates from across Gujarat got shortlisted by around 40 companies for recruitment according to their criteria.

Priyank Patel, Managing Trustee, Amiraj College of Engineering and Technology, said, “The idea behind organizing the Ahmedabad Job Mela, is to create an interface between leading firms in the IT, pharmaceuticals, management and engineering sectors, among others, that require manpower, and the talented and qualified youth of Gujarat.”

“The Ahmedabad Job Mela, is a bridge between fresh graduates and companies. In fact, owing to their talent, hard work and flexibility, fresh graduates are increasingly in demand across several companies, despite their stringent criteria and requirements. Companies participating in the job fair will have a diverse and qualified pool of talent to choose from, while fresh graduates will also get exposure
to several companies and their diverse set of requirements,” he added.

Talking about the current scenario, Kinish Patel, Managing Trustee, Amiraj College of Engineering and Technology, said, “Freshers are usually in demand in the corporate world, as they can easily adapt to different working styles and cultures. Companies usually take the opportunity to hone their skill set by training them on improving upon their skillset to suit the firm’s requirement.”

“The training and placement cell at Amiraj has also been constantly making efforts to understand industry requirement and translate it into necessary training and academic curriculum for the students. This will help improve the students’ skill set and thus, making them right candidates for the companies,” he added.
