Miss India Manushi Chhillar wins Miss World 2017 title
After year 2000 India and Venezuela now jointly share the record of highest number of Miss World titles. It is a proud moment for India as Miss Manushi Chhillar wins the Miss World 2017 title.
Many Indian beauties have won international acknowledgement in a beauty pageant.
India wins this title 17 years after Priyanka Chopra was crowned in the year 2000.
Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World 2017 among 118 contestants from various countries. The gala beauty contest was held at Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China, on Saturday.
Manushi, a 20-year-old from Haryana, studied in St. Thomas School in New Delhi and Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat.
Andrea Meza, Miss Mexico, was crowned first runner-up and Stephanie Hill, Miss England, second runner-up.
