‘Khichdi’ to be placed as National Dish at World Food India
Traditional Indian dish ‘Khichdi’ made up of Rice will be placed as a National Dish at World Food India show at a global food event slated on 4 November in Delhi. More than 800 kg of Khichdi will be cooked live at the event with participation from top chefs.
Organisers plan to register in the Guinness Book Of World Records for the largest pot of khichdi to ever be cooked.
Khichdi goes with curd, kadhi, chatni and raita. To add flavour its served in a fried form.
