Today in Valsad, 7 persons were killed and 4 others were injured in an accident between Dhamani and Tamchhadi. In Dharampur taluka, the accident took place a jeep trying to take overturn fell in a 100 feet deep gorge. 7 passengers out of 11 travelling of Jeep were killed on the spot. Driver of the jeep could not keep control over sloppy road and jeep fell into the gorge killing 7 persons. Entire jeep was toppled during the accident.
11 persons of a family had gone to Karwad in Maharashtra, as there was a marriage function in the family. Happy occasion in the family turned into a sad occasion with death of 7 persons.
Police and team of 108 ambulance reached the site. 2 survivors in the accident are being treated in state hospital and 2 others received minor injuries. The news has sent shock wave among entire area.
Seven persons who died in the accident were Kiran, Nareshbhai, Jayantibhai, Sitaram Bhau, Pritesh, Vinod and Arvind.
