Today in Ahmedabad, in a raid by Income Tax on builder Mahendra Mithalal Chopra resident of Sayona City-3 of Sola, who was converting black money of builder lobby by depositing the cash in his bank account and returning it through RTGS mode of transaction at a very high commission to him.
IT conducted Raid conducted on him, as he was allegedly involved in the construction scam. Mahendrabhai was in jail for a fraud case for last 5 months, who was out on 15 days parole.
IT department is investigating the case on Mahendrabhai. He did not bother to reply notice served by IT department.
From his house, lot of illegal transactions and documents were recovered.
More builder are likely to come under scanner following this IT raid, as per source.
