With wide spread breeding in Ahmedabad and spread of mosquito born diseases like Dengue and Malaria, the Health Department raided over 100 construction sites in the city. Notices were issued to 50 builders and 4 sites were sealed. Mosquitoes were found breeding inside the sites. A total of Rs 50,000 fine was charged.
