In a big relief to 29 multi purpose health workers, today Gujarat High Court ordered Gujarat government make them permanent with back effect. HC stated that government should act as ideal job donor, in every district maintain same criteria with uniform policy to avoid grievances of employees. HC observed that on the pretext of age they were confirmed in their job by Junagadh district panchayat. The panchayat offered temporary employment during 1990 to 1992 and did not provide permanent employment. For 6 years no procedure was followed to confirm them in the employment. During, 1996-97, recruitment process was started but on the pretext of age, temporary employees were confirmed in their job. On the contrary in Rajkot and Banaskantha district, employees were confirmed.
