Recently in Ahmedabad, STAR Plus TV channel and Bollywood Mahesh Bhatt together launches the most awaited show of the year. his leading lady, a 10-year-old tough, gritty and spunky Avni with a brand new show ‘Naamkarann’ accompanies him during the event. The show will bring to its viewers a girl’s perspective on an absence of a ‘normal family’ as in Avni‘s life, propelling her to develop strength which sets her apart from most kids of her age. The storyteller, Mahesh Bhatt along with his protagonist Arsheen Namdar and reel-life mother Barkha Bisht visited the city of Ahmedabad on 26 August to share their love and journey with their fans in the city.
The show has successfully brought together super talented and renowned artists and musicians like Arijit Singh, Monali Thakur, Anuradha Paudwal, Kumar Sanu, Pala, Jeet Ganguli and Anu Malik to create the music for the lyrical moments in Avni’s world. Monali Thakur who is the voice behind the title track of Naamkarann says, “The lyrics of the title song, Naamkarann, will connect with any woman instantly. The thought ‘Don’t label me, don’t name me’ in the song expresses the pursuit of every woman trying to find her own identity. Naamkarann is going to compel people to rethink the social structures and norms with Avni’s identity quest.”
Renowned Bollywood director and writer, Mahesh Bhatt’s stories have unearthed different dimensions of human emotions and complex relationships. He says “Television is able to create mindset change and that’s why I’ve chosen to tell this story on TV. It is a privilege to step into the space of consumers every day and incept a thought there. Naamkarann is my most thought provoking project yet with my strongest female lead as Avni.
