Bharuch: Gujarat CM dedicated revamped ‘Matariya Talav’ having walkway and water sports

Today Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in a day’s visit to Bharuch, dedicated revamped ‘Matariya Talav’ having walkway, water sports and other amenities. One of the major highlights of Matariya Talav is an all-women cafeteria run by ‘Sakhi Mandals’, a shining example of women empowerment.

CM also, dedicated Agriculture College building affiliated with Navsari Krishi University at the cost of Rs 18 crores. She was delighted to witness 35% students at college comprised of young girls wish to look after their family and parallely contribute to agriculture.

Dedicated ITI building, police quarters, taluka substation and GEB services center to strengthen public utility services in Bharuch district. Anandiben laid down foundation stone for an Arts College in Jhagadia to ensure students do not have to travel to far-off places to pursue higher education. On the occasion, congratulated local administration & supporting NGOs for conducting a health camp for nearly 5000 women in the region.

In another move to achieve ‘Housing for all’, dedicated 100 affordable houses to beneficiaries of various schemes. Interacted with members of Mahila Suraksha Samiti and asked to sensitise maximum women about Gujarat Government’s initiatives for them.
