In India, Jewellers and diamond traders are on strike for last 15 days in protest against imposition of 1% excise duty in current Budget of 2016-17.
Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley has denied to rollback excise duty imposition. Today Jewellers of Gujarat said that Jaitley is adoting divide and rule policy. Gujarat Jewellers and diamond traders wil protest in Delhi on Mar 17.
With current strike of jewellers government has incurred Rs 30,000 crore loss, as per sources.
