Today Afternoon at Vijay Muhrat (12.40) Rajkot (West) MLA and Cabinet Minister Vijay Rupani after visiting Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) headquarters of Gujarat in Ahmedabad filed nomination form for the election of President of Gujarat BJP at state party headquarter ‘Kamalam’ in Gandhinagar.
It is the reward and faith in Vijay Rupani by the party and his success journey from a booth level worker to BJP Gujarat President.
Rupani was applied tilak by Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel. CM congratualted and wished goodluck to Vijay Rupani.Rupani humbly seeked blessing from Anandiben Patel and met BJP seniors. New President receives best wishes from all around.
Party asked others to file nomination for election around 12.00 noon. Selection Process of nominating President for Gujarat unit of Bharatiya Janta Party was on the move and many names are projected for the same. Among such names, name of Mr. Vijay Rupani is on the top. Former president, Parshottam Rupala from Amreli was the other contender reported to be in race. Surprisingly all BJP leaders submitted proposal supporting Vijay Rupani’s name.
However, Vijaybhai Rupani won the race, and got elected as new President of Gujarat unit of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). Vijay Rupani was the minister for transport, employment and labour welfare and water supplies. As per opinion the party’s top leaders are muling over to stay away from selecting a Patel leader as the state party president.
