The Delhi Police on Friday received the observations by the All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar’s viscera report. According to reports, the AIIMS board was asked to give opinion on the FBI report which had ruled out poisoning as cause of her death. The progress of the observations is being reviewed by Special Commissioner of Police Law and Order Deepak Mishra.
“Have been told that Medical Board’s advice in late Sunanda’s case has been received. Deepak is reviewing progress. Merits shall be ensured,” Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi tweeted.
In another development, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday said that he will soon file Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Sunanda Pushkar’s death case. Taking to Twitter, Swamy wrote that his team has finalised the PIL on Sunanda’s murder and he will file it when he will be next in Delhi after January 17. Sunanda Pushkar, 51, was found dead at the Leela Hotel in New Delhi in January 2014. Pushkar’s viscera samples were sent to the FBI lab in Washington in February last year after a panel of doctors from AIIMS said that the alleged ?poison? could not be detected in Indian labs.
